mga pamulong ni leadcharacter

to make up for my absence, here are two poems in the dialect that you'd enjoy reading. to leadcharacter, thank you for the poems. i sure had a good laugh.

Mga Koduktor sa 21B

Dagko sila ug mga tingog
Mura’g Ginoo nga nagpasidaan ug
Kalamidad.
Ug kung mobukbok sila sa atop,
Daw liti sa umaabot nga lunop.

Walay ikyas bisa’g kinsa
Sa kilid sa dalan.
Birahon ka ug pasakyon
Mura’g arka ni Noah.
Pero what if dili diay ka padulong

Sa Jones-Ayala-Colon?
What if nag-standby lang ka
Sa sidewalk to contemplate
On things?
Ug kung tuod mosakay man ka,

Leche,
Pun-on pa.
Bisa’g gutom na kaayo, huwaton
Pa dyud
Nga ang dose-dose, fully occupied

Hangtod ma-trese, katorse,
Dayon hulbot sa extension.
Ug ang driver, naa’y certain
Sense of emergency.
Lupig ang ambulansya sa pabulhot.

Pero kining mga konduktor,
Mura’g vying for
Konduktor-of-the-month.
Gikan Hi-way
Hangtod National-Mango,

Wala sila’y hunong ug paningil.
Ug kung moplete ka ug sayo,
Dili ka sukli-an dayon,
Probably in the hopes nga
Makalimtan nimo ang sukli.

Ug kung makahuna-huna ka ug
Lingkod dapit sa entrance,
Think twice.
Kay usahay, ilang oten
Modusdus sa imong tuhod.

Kining 21B
Mura’g multibillion-dollar industry.
Hingpit ang kapitalismo.
Bakakan ka usahay kung pila na ang
Plete.

Kung naa lang koy
Superpower to make things happen,
Akong padak-on ilang mga totoy
Para mohapdos ilang atngal.
Kapoy ni silang mga konduktor sa 21B.

They love their jobs too much.
Kung wala lang intawon ko nangandoy
Nga mabalhin diri
Ug didto,
Dili ko, dili ko.

Pero.

Wala’y pua-puasa bisan semana santa
co-written by Abad and Ivan

Lubnga ko sa imong mga halok
Samtang ang atong mga dila magbugno ug magdakmalay
Wala’y pua-puasa bisan semana santa
Ug wa’y pildiro natong duha
Kay pareho tang mangusog
Uban sa bug-at nga pagdagayday sa atong mga singot
Diha sa nagsilaob natong mga lawas.
Hala, kiyod pa
Bungkaga akong bilat
Lawayi
Unya pachupaa ko
Dungan sawop sa adlaw
Ang akong ulo mosawm,
Ang baba naghinangol.
Sige, dunggaba
Hangtod ang kolor mamuwa
Sama sa kolor sa atong gugma.

sexual soul mate reading

i was just intrigued on how our sexual soul mate reading will come up. if you are too, then read on...

soulmate's mercury conjunct debbie's neptune:

your intimate life is marked by poeticism and fancy. debbie brings out the romantic dreamer in soulmate, and your sex seems dreamy and soft, like a real-life fantasy. take care not to let things become so dreamy and indistinct that you stop communicating directly.

saturn mutually aspects neptune:

  • you inspire one another to do a lot of soul-searching and confronting of your personal "demons," the things that make each of you feel insecure or vulnerable.

  • you're deeply committed to one another, so your relationship will most likely withstand any strain placed on it by this searching quality.

  • your lovemaking is a deeply tender and sensual experience for both of you.

  • each of you is the type of lover who gets more pleasure from pleasing the other than from lying back and waiting to receive it, so you're able to make one another feel wonderful. even if the sexual or romantic parts of your relationship fade, your connection will remain deep and long-lasting.

  • you share a deep commitment to one another, which neither of you is even conscious of until it is tested -- and beautifully withstands any pressures it is subjected to.

  • your intimate play together likely reflects this: you feel almost spiritually transcended when you make love to one another, and your sex is more an expression of your love for one another than a release of pent-up energy or an acting out of carnal desires.

  • this relationship is teaching you both about faith and the strength and power of love.

dialogues of the lantoy climb

...@ home; friday; 10:00 PM...

mom: "are you sure you're going later? there's a military war game exercise happening in argao until tomorrow afternoon. the mountains are npa (armed communists) infested."

me: "we're going with seasoned climbers who are familiar with the place. no one's going to get hurt."

desi: "vinnie, we'll leave you behind. the npa will kidnap you because you're a foreigner."

vinnie: "i can put dirt on my face as a disguise. they won't notice me i promise."

toni (on the phone): "there won't be rebels out that day. they'll be watching the pacquiao-delajoya match."

...inside the pickup truck; saturday; 10:00 PM...

tin: "i don't think that's jerry or peter outside. no one brought yellow lights, all our headlamps produce white light."

nax: "let's calm down tin. but i swear, if those two strangers out there come any closer i will start this truck."

tin: "what are they doing lurking here?"

...honking of the truck's horn reverberated...

me: "get up guys, i think something's going on outside. "

toni: "stay in your tents. don't make them think that we're mostly girls."

tin: "let me in your tent. im so scared. there were two guys trying to get on the back of the truck."

peter: "carl, help me look for jerry. he's not in the hammock area."

nax: "shit. let's break camp guys. we have to leave."

...the strangers disappeared into the woods. for sure they were caught off guard by the honking. they would have had us first if that wasn't the case...

*jerry by the way is safe.

golden boy now pacman's fan

like what most filipinos wished and prayed for, pacquiao won against dela joya. he made the golden boy quit after the 8th round.

i wasn't able to watch from start to finish. i was supposed to wait for the replay, when i suddenly thought of searching for live streaming of the match. thanks to yahoo answers, somebody provided a link to one. i jumped in on the 6th round already. and dela joya was already tired and beaten up then. he already had a swollen left eye. pacquiao was winning. and he did!

during the interview with dela joya, he was full of accolades for the filipino fighter. he was humble in every thing he said. he had no complaints nor did he try to explain why he didn't win. he simply accepted defeat.

now, pacman has a new fan.

i bet 400 million pesos

i am no boxing fan. but manny pacquiao has become a household name in the country. everybody is his fan, i think i am becoming one. not to exaggerate but the country stops to watch his matches. and it will again this sunday, when he fights against "golden boy" oscar dela joya.

when i first heard about their upcoming match, i thought pacquiao was crazy. and that he wouldn't be any challenge to the more experienced and bigger dela joya. however, just today, when i saw pacquiao on tv, i changed my mind.

now, i think he's got a bigger chance than dela joya. considering that he's younger, he's definitely faster. he may have shorter reach but he can last longer in the fight. he also has the confidence. his wife said in the interview that pacquiao is never afraid of his opponents and that's why he always wins. it's all about the mindset...positive thinking.

so there, i am going to bet on pacquiao. i am betting on the filipino. i am betting for him on his 400 some million pesos.

lantoy climb preparation

at around 6:00 am tomorrow the group will be headed to lantoy. it's a mountain located 10 kilometers inland from argao, a municipality of cebu. this will be my first climb ever and i never thought i was going unprepared until i saw googled pictures of the destination. man, this is serious...

now, what to bring?

toiletries - toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo? (no need), definitely tissue (in case of emergency...you know what i mean)

trail food - asked my sister (who is also tagging along together with her bf) to buy just skyflakes (a local brand of crackers)

bottled water - will buy one on the way to argao

extra clothes - it's always better to sleep clean you know

sun protection cream - thanks clarence for reminding me that i just had something done to my face and so i need it protected.

one cup of rice - obviously... to feed the birds while trekking!

head lamp, tent, food and other important stuff
- thank god we have seasoned climbers going and a friend who has almost everything important.

i guess that would be it. i usually am a light packer so tomorrow i will go as light as i can.
