i'm afraid that if i don't say anything, if i don't help in spreading the word, we will time and again fall into the "trapo" trap. we have seen how "trapo" do it. and i am sick of it! we can't always go for the usual. i want to see real change happen within my lifetime. and this is not going to happen if i just sit and wait for people to vote depending on who's the most popular, on who's the most winnable. that just sucks!
unfortunately i may not be able to vote in the coming elections. however, through my blogging my vote will be multiplied. i will in the best of my ability campaign for nicanor perlas whom i think has the sincerity and advocacy that promote change.
i got introduced to him just last night through an interview with che2x lazaro. (if you missed it, there will be replays on anc every thursday 6:00 pm and every saturday at 12:00 am and 1:30 pm) he immediately impressed me with his track record and his ideologies. he excelled in sports and the academe - a very well-rounded person. he is an activist, environmentalist all rolled into one. he's deemed crazy because of his unparalleled and brilliant ideas. i also learned that nicanor perlas is hard headed, which means he can't be easily swayed by the "trapo" around him.
from then on i started reading about him. in my search for articles, i came across a blog: www.panjeetapales.com (click on the site and it'll direct you to the page) that got me to know nicanor perlas more. the more i read, the more positive i feel about supporting him and letting everyone know about him.
during his interview, it was said that he wouldn't spend more than 2 million from his pocket. he relies on the support of those who have true passion for change. to quote nicanor perlas, "goodwill of volunteers and real passion for a different country will result in money flow."
let's do something to effect change.

become a fan here: www.facebook.com
most importantly talk about him to your friends, family and followers.

Thank you for the nice post. Nicky needs all the help for our country's change to be realized. I too am sick of those star studded tv ads and drama in the marketplace. These TRAPOS are just too sickening, I can just barf in front of them. Nick Perlas is one of the most brilliant person I have come across this elections. I can't believe that here, in our very own land - in the Philippines, there can actually be another Barack Obama (and NO! it's not Binay, PLEASE!) it may very well be Perlas. he represents change, the change "we can believe in."
Really? wow.. if he impressed you this much then i guess he is worth a second look
yes, bloggers are really making a difference! we are ka-perlas too! check out our blog at www.babasplayground.tabulas.com
@anonymous: the interview with che2x was the first time i heard about him. he immediately swept me away from my feet. truly deserving to be the next president.
@dhon: so have you checked on his profile yet? more and more people are convinced (people i've talked to, people who've read this post, those who've seen the probe interview).
