sinulog 2010 pyrofest

better late than not at all. though it's been a week since the sinulog 2010 pyrofest, whenever i see pictures like the one on top, i can't help but smile and recall how the event got me teary-eyed. my line to my cebu bloggers friends was "makahilak jud ko ay". no kidding, that was how beautiful the fireworks were. just sad my partner wasn't there to see it.

that was my first time to witness the sinulog pyrofest. it was the second. i heard about the first sinulog pyrofest from my mom. she talked about it like it was her first time...like she's never seen fireworks before. now i understand. the sinulog 2010 pyrofest was spectacular, not the usual fireworks i've seen.

the folks from bulacan bagged the top two prizes making their stamp as the fireworks capital of the country. during their exhibitions, the sky was literally ablaze, the ground shook and it rained cinders. i was particularly awed by the rocket-ship-like-aerial that launched about several meters into the sky. there were also displays that mimicked the movement of flies and waterfalls. it was simply dazzling with beauty.

it was almost an hour worth of fireworks exhibition that was ended with a big bang by pyroworks international inc. not to mention the synchronized firing of their fireworks and the beats of the drums. can't wait for the next sinulog pyrofest.

thanks to the special pass provided by sm city cebu to the cebu bloggers society. we had a good view of the cebu sky that was on fire that night.
